Trip Information 

•Recreation & Parks Department will need name, date of birth, address, phone number, and emergency number of each person registering for a trip. 

•Before participating in any program or event sponsored by the Recreation & Parks Department a waiver must be signed by the participant or responsible parent/guardian.  

•Trip return times are approximate and may change due to unforeseen circumstances and traffic.

•Refunds - Refunds for trips may vary due to non-refundable tickets or fees. Refund requests made prior to the trip deadline date will be given less a 5% refund fee. Cancellations made by Recreation & Parks are not subject to the 5% refund fee. Online registration fees are non-refundable. Please note: Refunds for purchases made by credit card are processed back to the credit card. Refunds for purchases made by cash or check are processed with a check (within ten business days) through the Village of Park Forest Finance Department.

•Nothing kills a good trip quicker than waiting until the last minute to register! Please sign up early or the trip that you want may have to be cancelled.

•Credit/debit card transactions are processed through Active Network, LLC.

route 66 bwRoute 66 Tour
"A few Kicks on Route 66." Travel along the original world-famous Route 66 from Joliet to Pontiac. We will have photo ops of some of the icons on the route, including the Polk-a-Dot Restaurant, the Gemini Giant and many others. We will hear the history of the famous road along with that of the towns along the way. There will be museum stops in Joliet and the Route 66 Museum in Pontiac. Lunch will be at Bernardi's Restaurant in Pontiac. Each person will also receive an Illinois Route 66 map.

This trip is non-refundable. Registration deadline:  August 29, 2018. 

Menu:  Salad, bread, Fried Chicken,Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Green Beans, Mostaccioli and Ice Cream for dessert.  Choice of coffee, tea or soft drink.

Michigan Winery Tour
Join us as we visit South West Michigan Wine Country guided by our host, the Windy City Tour Company. Led by an expert from the local wine industry, the tour will include stops at three local wineries, a lunch with cocktail at the Journeyman Distillery, and an informative discussion on all the wines you will be trying in the tasting rooms. Transportation, tasting fees and lunch is included in the ticket price. This is a daylong event and if weather permits, we will have opportunities to walk in the vineyards, take plenty of photos, and enjoy a day in the countryside. This trip is a great way to learn about wine without being intimidated. A desire to learn about wine is all you need to enjoy this excursion to Wine Country! Guests must be 21 or older and carry a photo ID.

Ghost the Musical
This musical adaptation of the 1990 Academy Award winning film follows the love story of Sam and Molly. After Sam’s untimely death, he tries to protect Molly from an unknown threat. In an attempt to communicate with her, he enlists the help of a storefront psychic to hilarious and harrowing effect. This tale about the power of love features a score by Grammy Award winning songwriters Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, and includes the classic “Unchained Melody”.

Lunch and show at the Theatre At The Center, Munster, IN.  Menu: Lemon Rice Soup, Chicken Tetrazzini or Beef Stroganoff with buttered noodles, Key Largo Vegetable Blend and Chocolate Fudge Cake for dessert. Please mention meal choice when registering.
